The Delivery Of Coal and/or Disposal Of Ash For The Operation Of The Municipal Light Plant

Sealed proposals in duplicate will be received by the Director of Public Service of the City of Dover, Ohio, at his office in the City Building until 10:00 am clock on:

 WEDNESDAY, May 21, 2025

 and will be opened and read the same day at the same time for:

 THE DELIVERY OF COAL AND/OR DISPOSAL OF ASH FOR THE OPERATION OF THE MUNICIPAL LIGHT PLANT; DOVER, OHIO, FOR BOTH AN INITIAL TWO (2) YEAR PERIOD, WITH THREE (3) ADDITIONAL ONE (1) YEAR OPTIONS TO BE EXERCISED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CITY, WITH DELIVERIES AND DISPOSAL BEGINNING AUGUST 1, 2025.

Specifications and plans on which bids are requested are on file at the office of the Director of Public Service in the City Building.  All bids shall comply with the requirements of such specifications.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of 1) a certified check, or cashiers check, or letter of credit, in the amount of $10,000.00; or 2) a bid guaranty bond for the amount of $10,000.00; both forms of guaranty as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications. All bid guaranties shall be conditioned that if the bid is accepted within ninety (90) days of the bid opening, a proper contract shall be executed, and that upon failure or refusal to enter into said contract within ten (10) days after receipt of notification of award the bidder and the surety on any bond shall be liable to the City for said amount of $10,000.00.

 All bids shall comply with all of the requirements of the specifications and contract documents.

 This is authorized by Ordinance 13-25, passed 7 April 2025.

 The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.

 No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of opening thereof.
